My Regime - Sara Donaldson

Sara Donaldson continues to revolutionise the way girls of the Twenty-First century edit their wardrobes. First with her impeccably styled monochromatic editorial platform, Harper and Harley, and now with the launch of her meticulously curated luxury online store, The Undone. Always boasting a radiant, healthy glow, this is a woman who, like me, appreciates the power of a ‘less is more’ philosophy. It's not about having a lot of products, just the right ones. Here Sara dishes on her favourite body products and her favourite daily foods for perfectly luminous skin.


What is your morning skincare regime?

In the morning I use very gently products - nothing too active. I cleanse, tone and moisturise with an SPF 50+. I have also just started using Beauty Chef skin refiner which is a natural exfoliant, skin hydrator and collagen booster all in one.


What is your evening skincare regime?

I always remove my makeup, tone and apply a nice nourishing night cream.


What’s the very first thing you do when you wake up?

I get some fresh air by taking my 2 dogs for a walk.


What are the three products you can’t be without?

I love rose hip oil - I mix it in with my moisturiser at night and is great for traveling. My toner and a good SPF.


Favourite skin tips or tricks?

To stick to a regime that works for you.


Favourite tips for travelling?

To only take your favourites out of your skin care regime. Keep it simple. It gets too bulky taking everything.


How do you maintain your skin whilst travelling?

I drink lots of water and avoid alcohol - especially on the flight.

I apply a nourishing cream on the plane and constantly spritz with a hydrating mist.


What’s your everyday makeup regime?

I use Dior BB Cream. I love a good illuminator. I always do my brows and finish with a little bit of mascara.


What regular treatments do you have to maintain your complexion?

The red Light Therapy Facial weekly combined with hydrating treatments and Radiance Facials are great before an event.


What does your diet look like on a day to day basis?

I stick to mainly a vegetarian diet - except for fish. I eat lots of veggies, no carbs, no dairy and always start my day with the Beauty Chefs Glow powder because beautiful skin also comes from within.


Do you take any supplements?

Zinc and Magnesium.


If you could go back in time and give yourself advice, what would it be?

With my skin - Don’t pick pimples!


What is your summer skin care essential?

A good SPF, a light coverage foundation and a little bit of mascara.


What lessons have you learned from make up artists?

That skin preparation is everything. When my skin is well hydrated it keeps my makeup looking its best.


Do you have a signature fragrance?

I always change but at the moment Le Labo number 29.


What's your number one skin secret?

A good nights sleep. It always shows in your skin when you are rundown and tired.


What's the best advice you've ever received?

To start looking after your skin young. To take a preventative approach.


What is your biggest beauty indulgence?

Regular skin treatments.

To invest in and always make time for your skin and health.
